CHARLOTTE — Detectives were called to the scene of a homicide Tuesday night at a 7-Eleven in University City.
The deadly shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. at the convenience store located on Pavilion Boulevard near University City Boulevard.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon. At the scene, they found 22-year-old Kai Hall with apparent gunshot wounds.
Channel 9′s Jonathan Lowe said the victim’s body was lying at the entrance of the convenience store. He was pronounced deceased by MEDIC.
CMPD said they are reviewing surveillance footage as they continue to search for a suspect in connection with this case.
