CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Mecklenburg County commissioners got an update Tuesday night on the future of Brooklyn Village in Charlotte's Second Ward.
The development will include a mix of residential apartments with at least 250,000 square feet of retail space.
The site won't be for big box stores over 76,000 square feet unless it's a grocer.
The site must include at least 1,200 housing units and at least 10 percent of the development must be affordable housing.
