CHARLOTTE — Jury deliberations started on Monday in the murder trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin, who is charged with killing George Floyd in May.

The trial is resonating with many people, especially with the family of Jonathan Ferrell, who was shot and killed by a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer in 2013.
