Troopers investigating deadly pedestrian crash in Union County

Deputies are helping the North Carolina Highway Patrol investigate a deadly crash Tuesday morning involving a pedestrian in Union County.

The collision happened before 7 a.m. on Joe Kerr Road at Wheatfield Drive in Marvin.

The pedestrian did not survive, officials said. That person’s name has not been released.

Troopers have not said what led to the crash and no other details have been released.

Joe Kerr Road was shut down between Appomatox Drive and Wheatfield Drive as troopers investigate.
