IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A missing 16-year-old girl with Down syndrome was found and is safe, the sheriff said.

They are looking for Emily Paola Solorzano in the area of North Iredell High School along Raider and Jennings roads.
Emily is 4 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs 130 pounds.
She was wearing blue jeans and a dark gray hoodie and has a blue backpack.
Emily ran past the guardhouse and into the woods after school, the sheriff said.
