YORK COUNTY, S.C. — York County deputies said an ATV rider was killed in a wreck during a traffic stop July 4 near Fort Mill.

Trent Faris with the York County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Regent Parkway and Bannock Drive, close to railroad tracks that cross the parkway.
According to deputies, South Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers were attempting to pull over the ATV when the driver crashed.
Regent Parkway was blocked while investigators canvassed the scene, but was later reopened.
The name of the driver has not yet been released.
