CLOVER, S.C. — Three people have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Monday and another was charged with obstruction of justice.

The York County Sheriff's Office arrested Javeas Cohn, Tevin Dye and Ezekial Lundquist in the death of Brandon Davis.

Michael McAffe, who was also shot, was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.

Deputies said Davis was shot in the shoulder Sunday night.

They believe McAffe drove him to a neighborhood on Gondola Lane where he died.

Deputies haven't said what could have motivated the shooting.

Officials: Teen shot near Clover, dies in friend's driveway

Nick Fenske was jolted awake by gunfire late Sunday night.

"I heard about six gunshots, and it was pretty scary.  I just got an eerie feeling too," Fenske said.

Then he heard squealing tires; moments later, a car pulled into his driveway on Gondola Lane, and he recognized two friends. One got out of the car, the other fell out onto the gravel.

"I came out, and he's lying there dead, and the other one's shot," he said.

Brandon Davis, 17, was pronounced dead early Monday.  Family members said he'd been shot through the shoulder.   The man who drove him there was shot in the leg, and had it wrapped in a T-shirt.  Friends said that second victim made the 911 call. Another neighbor said the truck the two men were in was completely shot up.

Fenske said the friend who was shot in the leg wouldn't answer questions about what happened.

"I said, 'Why did you come here? Why did you come here?' He said, 'I don't know where else to go Fenske, I'm scared!'"

York County sheriff's deputies canvassed the large trailer park off Rhyne Road, trying to find out where the shooting happened. Late Monday, they had still not pinpointed the location of the shooting.

Kamie Quinn visits her mother in the neighborhood, and said a child's death is always shocking.

"Especially with him being just a baby, a 17-year-old kid.  It's scary," she said.

Davis's grandparents, Mark and Pam Yukob, raised him since he was a baby.  They sent a statement to Channel 9:

"Brandon passed away around 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 23 from a gunshot wound in the shoulder.

"Brandon lived his entire life, 17 years, with his grandparents, Mark and Pam Yukob. He loved playing sports, and played several years of baseball at the Clover Recreation Center. He loved dirt bike riding and hoped one day to open his own small business working on motorcycles. He had a great deal of friends, and was very proud to call Clover his home.

"Needless to say the family is heartbroken by the loss. We do not know at this time who committed this violence against Brandon, nor do we fully understand any of the circumstances leading to it. We express our deep thankfulness to God for giving us seventeen wonderful years with Brandon, and we ask for your prayers for our family's mourning, and for the ongoing investigation.

"He is survived by his brother, Noah, his grandparents Mark and Pam Yukob and his mother, Angel."

Davis was a student at Clover High School during the last school year. He was not enrolled this school year, officials said.

Sheriff's deputies have not yet identified a suspect, or the 22-year-old man who drove to Fenske's house Sunday night. A motive for the deadly shooting has not been released.
