GASTONIA, N.C. — People near a Gastonia car dealership witnessed a deer run across a busy road and crash through a windshield of a moving SUV Monday morning.
"Literally saw deer legs out of a windshield," one person said.
The collision happened near a car dealership on Wilkinson Boulevard.
The deer's body ended up almost entirely through the windshield of a Lincoln SUV. Troopers said everyone in the vehicle was OK.

Christian Haskins has lived in the area her whole life and said she's never seen anything like what she saw Monday.
"There's really no words for something like that, especially when you look up and see that," she told Eyewitness News. "I thought I was dreaming. I wasn't sure what I was really seeing."
Wildlife biologists said deer accidents increase this time of year. October and November are the only months when deer mate, and they are very active.
AAA said there were more than 17,000 crashes in North Carolina last year involving animals and around 90% were deer -- and half of those crashes happened between October and December.
