BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Crews in Burke County rescued three people Sunday who became trapped in a rapidly rising creek.
Officials said two people were trapped on a rock and that a girl was trapped on the opposite bank along Upper Creek.

Emergency medical services said a man risked his safety to get across the creek and help her.
Officials said everyone was rescued safely.
