Credit Karma continues to add jobs in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Credit Karma is still bullish on Charlotte after several years, with plans to hire another 40 people here in 2021.

The San Francisco-area company, which offers free credit scores and other financial management tools, chose Charlotte for its first East Coast office in late 2016.

The firm’s Ballantyne office employs about 160 people and, after adding space multiple times already, it is looking to expand again.

“We have just seen a very excited and motivated community ... about the combination and opportunity of financial services and technology,” said Colleen McCreary, chief people officer. “Charlotte is right in the middle of all of that.”
