CHARLOTTE, NC — Three lanes of the outer loop of I-485 near South Tryon Street were closed for a time Monday morning after a crash spilled nails across the highway.
Pictures from the scene showed traffic backed up as emergency crews worked to move disabled vehicles and clean the nails off the pavement.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
