CHARLOTTE — A crash in southwest Charlotte downed power lines causing outages and closed a stretch of road for hours on Tuesday.
The crash happened before 10:45 a.m. on Sandy Porter Road between Arrowood Road and South Tryon Street. A Channel 9 crew at the scene saw the road still closed as of 12 p.m.
According to Duke Energy’s outage map, 1,463 customers were without power at 12:30 p.m. All power was restored by Tuesday afternoon.
