CHARLOTTE — Residents and staff at nursing homes in North Carolina are now in line to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
However, a woman said it was too late for her mother, who died on Jan. 9 from the coronavirus after contracting it at White Oak Manor Charlotte.

Andrea Grier has questions about whether conditions inside the nursing home may have contributed to her 82-year-old mother’s death.
“They said she was gone. I was like, ‘What do you mean she’s gone? I just talked to her,’” Grier said.
