Convicted rapist restrained after charging at victim in court

SHELBY, N.C. — Four deputies had to restrain a convicted rapist after he charged toward a victim during trial.

The Shelby Star sent Channel 9 photos of Bobby Jolly handcuffed in court.

Jolly is accused of molesting the woman while she was a still a minor for more than 10 years.

Ten bailiffs had to be brought in to regain control in the Shelby courtroom on Wednesday.

Jolly is facing four life sentences in prison.
