Construction underway on latest project in downtown Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Construction is underway on the latest piece of the ongoing downtown revitalization in Kannapolis.

General contractor Summit Design + Build says in a press release that it has kicked off work on its first project in North Carolina — a 69,000-square-foot multifamily and commercial project overlooking the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers’ home stadium.

As CBJ’s Collin Huguley has previously reported, the roughly $40 million development is being led by Lansing Melbourne Group in a joint venture with Temerity Capital Partners, owner of the Cannon Ballers.
