Construction begins on $24M auto-parts plant in Mooresville

CHARLOTTE — Construction has started on a $24 million, automotive-parts plant in Mooresville that’s expected to bring more than 300 jobs to southern Iredell County.

Last week, Tristone Flowtech USA Inc. celebrated its arrival in the Charlotte area with a groundbreaking ceremony.

Tristone Flowtech was among three economic-development projects announced in December that would bring a total of 639 jobs and $73 million in investment to the extended Charlotte region. The others were Dhollandia Manufacturing in Gaston County and Sunrise Global Marketing, which makes Greenworks outdoor equipment, planned for Burke County.

Tristone Flowtech is a subsidiary of Tristone Flowtech Group of Frankfurt, Germany. Its first U.S. manufacturing facility will make engine hose systems, air-charge hoses and battery-cooling systems for automakers in the United States and Canada.
