CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Local towns are fighting a proposed roadway system that will connect to the future River District.
The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization will vote Wednesday on whether to invest around $120 million of state highway funds in building a road and bridge that service the River District.
Some town representatives plan to vote against the measure because it will only benefit Charlotte.
