CONCORD, N.C. — Budget cuts could also force the control tower at Concord Regional Airport to go dark on April 1.
Concord's airport is one of 168 small- to medium-sized airports whose tower controllers are contracted by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Airport executives said those towers will be closed if the $600 million cuts to the FAA's budget go through.
Three other control towers in North Carolina are also on the chopping block.
