CONCORD, N.C. — Concord Fire Department is mourning the loss of Engineer Chris Hartsell, who passed away recently after serving the community since 2002.
Hartsell was a member of Recruit Class 5 and dedicated over 15 years of his career to serving as the Engineer on Ladder Co. 1 in the downtown area. His most recent role was with Engine Co. 12, where he was recognized as the most-tenured Engineer in the city.
Hartsell’s commitment to the Concord community was evident throughout his long-standing career, and he was known for his dedication and unique contributions to the department.
Hartsell is survived by his family, including Susan, Shelby, Emma Rae, and Tucker, who are in the thoughts of the Concord Fire Department during this difficult time.
