CHARLOTTE — Competitions and concerts always highlight the Whitewater Center’s annual Tuck Fest. The three-day festival that celebrates the outdoor lifestyle is set to take place from April 21-23.

The event features more than 35 races or competitions including trail running, kayaking, biking, climbing, stand-up paddleboarding and adventure racing.
This year’s band lineup includes headliners Amanda Shires (Friday), Moon Taxi (Saturday) and Bahamas (Sunday), along with many others.
There will also be vendor villages spread throughout the grounds that will feature more than 30 outdoor brands such as Teva, Hoka, Outfitters, Sun Bum and Coolvio.
Kid-friendly activities include a youth obstacle challenge, youth trail and bike races, and tandem kayak races.
There is no fee for spectators coming to watch the events and bands. Parking costs $6.

Registration is required to participate in races and competitions. A one-time flat fee covers access to all races and competitions throughout the three-day festival. Click here for more information.

Fun festival fact: The name “Tuck Fest” comes from the Tuckaseegee Ford and Trail, a historical landmark located at the USNWC. The Ford is the first known crossing point along the Catawba River that was traveled by Native Americans and European settlers.
