MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Hundreds gathered Saturday to support the legacy of a fallen hero -- Mooresville Officer Jordan Sheldon was killed in the line of duty in May, but his legacy lives on.
Sheldon's death shook the Mooresville community, but since then, neighbors have wanted to honor him.
"I'm overwhelmed by all the community support going on," friend Kayla Vega said. "He was amazing. He had this infectious spirit. And, that's what makes me want to keep going."
Watch the video above as Channel 9's Erin Edwards shows us the new festival in his honor and how it will help the department he served.
