CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a crash involving a school bus in southwest Charlotte Thursday morning.
The crash happened after 9:30 a.m. on Clanton Road.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said the bus was serving Barringer Academic Center.
Officials said the bus driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. CMS said six students were evaluated by MEDIC, but were all transferred to a new bus and taken to school.
CMS officials said CMPD is investigating the cause of the crash.
Parents of the students on the bus were notified.
