The list and maps help to answer questions for parents, who said it isn't clear exactly which school their children would go to if the school boundary proposal is approved.

The proposed plan released last week affects 75 of 170 Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools.

CMS told Channel 9 that it plans to hold info sessions through May 22, before the board is expected to vote on the student assignment plan.

Parents of Dilworth Elementary School students held a meeting Wednesday morning to voice their concerns.

The proposal plans to merge Dilworth Elementary and Sedgefield Elementary Schools.

Parents said they were worried that Sedgefield would not be able to give their children the same education they are getting at Dilworth.

At the meeting, parents asked Superintendent Ann Clark how she could make the plan more attractive.

Clark said students will drive what types of classes are offered.

If the proposals are approved, the changes wouldn't begin any earlier than the 2018-19 school year.
