CMS police hold active shooter training for school employees

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Police Department has been training staff, including teachers and bus drivers, for years about what to do during an active shooter situation.

Detective Wes Eubank has been with CMS PD since 2018 and has trained more that 1,400 employees in the district.

“We talk about what an active threat is,” Eubank said Wednesday.
