How CMS says they are keeping your children safe in the classroom

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is preparing to welcome students back for in-person instruction next week. Students who are in Pre-K, kindergarten through 8th grade, and students with disabilities who need in-person services will return to class on Monday.

Middle and high school students will return to in-person learning on Feb. 22.

CMS released a statement to families saying they will prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of their students through the process.

“As we prepare for in-person instruction, the safety, health and well-being of our students is a top priority for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. As we navigate COVID-19 together, CMS remains committed to facilitating growth and new opportunities all the while ensuring access to quality education. We want students and families to know what they can expect when they arrive at school. This guide will help families better prepare for health and safety practices, as well as family and student expectations for in-person instruction.”
