CMS: District received over 800 reports of bullying this school year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bullying is prevelant in schools and can sometimes escalate into something more serious and dangerous.

Channel 9's education reporter Elsa Gillis learned Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools got a little over 800 reports of bullying for the 2019 school year through its anonymous platform.

The district launched the platform last spring as part of a wide-ranging effort to prevent bullying.
