CMPD: Women pepper-sprayed, assaulted employees in Northlake robbery

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking to identify three people accused in robbery at Northlake Mall.

Officers responded to a robbery call at Northlake's Downtown Locker Room around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers were told the women came up to employees as they were leaving the store. The women then pepper-sprayed and physically assaulted the employees before robbing the store, police say.

The women are pictured below, police say.

The first thief is described as a light-skin black woman or Hispanic woman, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a stocky build and blondish hair. She was last seen wearing a red jersey that was open on the sides with the number 22 on the back and the name Heyward printed on the back. She was also wearing blue shorts and black-and-white basketball shoes.

The second thief is described as a light-skin black woman, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a stocky build. She was wearing a tan crocheted hat, blue-and-white tie-dye shirt, dark shoes and black pants with three white stripes down the leg.
 
Police described the third thief as light skin, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a stocky build and long braids. She was last seen wearing a black, hooded pullover shirt with white horizontal stripes and black pants with three white stripes down the leg. She was wearing New Balance dark running shoes.
