CMPD: Woman charged in northeast Charlotte homicide

CHARLOTTE — A woman has been charged in connection with a homicide Monday night at an apartment complex in northeast Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

It happened in the parking lot of the Century University City Apartments on Dave McKinney Avenue around 10 p.m.

At the scene, CMPD found 33-year-old Diondre Bittle shot in the parking lot. MEDIC pronounced Bittle dead at the scene.

On January 3, police announced that 35-year-old Sabrina Nayeele Roth had been identified as a suspect in this case.

Roth has been arrested and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, according to CMPD.
