The student was arrested and was suspended from school.

The school sent a message to parents alerting them to the situation.

Officials said the safety and security of students are important.

"I feel safe at school,” seventh-grader Jessie Epino said. “I don't feel like someone's going to hurt me or something at school."

Police were at the school the next day as a precaution.

No one was hurt, and no students were in danger.
