CHARLOTTE — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a school bus that was caught in the crossfire of a drug deal.
Monday afternoon, gunfire struck a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus on the 8800 block of E.W.T. Harris Boulevard.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the gun was fired during a fight over drugs, and the nearby school bus was caught in the crossfire.
Tuesday afternoon, police announced that 21-year-old Lamarius Ramel Anthony has been arrested and charged in connection with this case.
On Wednesday, police revealed that 20-year-old Paris Lewis Bynum had also been arrested in this case.
Bynum has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
He is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
