CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking for a pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run crash in north Charlotte.
Police said they responded to Statesville Avenue Monday night around 11:30 p.m. for a hit-and-run call. At the scene, officers found an unresponsive person in the roadway. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police believe the person was crossing Statesville Avenue when he was struck by a gold or tan Ford F-150 extended cab pickup truck.
Prior to the crash, traffic cameras showed the truck turning onto Statesville Avenue from Cindy Lane. After the crash, the truck was seen turning onto LaSalle Street and was last seen heading towards Interstate 77.

The truck has damage to the front end, grille, and is missing the Ford emblem.
