Hello Coulwood STEM Academy families, this is your principal, Dr. Moss, sharing some sad news.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I tell you about the death of one of our students. Jahmir Howard died in a drowning accident. We are heartbroken by this loss of life, and we grieve with his family and friends.

“The death of a child is always a sad and troubling event and can often have a profound effect on the student’s friends and classmates. It is extremely important for children to have an opportunity to talk through their feelings and reactions in an age appropriate manner. Grief counseling services are always available for any student or staff member.

“In times like these, we must come together and support each other. Please know that we stand with all of you, and we gain strength by helping one another through this difficult time. Again, our condolences go out to Jahmir’s family, and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts as well.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
