CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is inviting the community to participate in a transparency workshop.
Next month, the department will host a three-day program designed to give residents an inside look at their processes, services and operations.
The selected topics are ones that drive the most questions during community meetings, rallies, and other conversations with citizens.
At each workshop, attendees will participate in exercises that put them behind the desk of a captain, in front of a roll call as a sergeant, or behind the body worn camera of an officer.
The workshops are scheduled from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. August 8, 15 and 22.
Registration is required and closes July 30.
