Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for help to find a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run that happened early on Dec. 9 in north Charlotte.

Wanda Rena Sheppard, 53, was struck and killed at about 2:15 a.m. on North Caldwell Street near Optimist Hall.

Police are looking for a 2011-17 Nissan Juke last seen driving from the scene eastbound on Central Avenue near Hawthorne Lane.

Deadly north Charlotte hit-and-run Wanda Rena Sheppard, 53, was struck and killed at about 2:15 a.m. on Dec. 9, 2024, on North Caldwell Street near Optimist Hall.

The subcompact SUV may have damage to the front or right area of the bumper and may have a broken front windshield.

Police are asking anyone with information on the deadly crash to call 704-432-2169.
