CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man wanted in a weekend homicide in Charlotte was arrested Wednesday night in Raleigh, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officials said.

Brandon Lamar Medlin is accused of shooting Justin Reid to death at the Pepper Tree Apartments on Timber Hollow Drive Sunday.
Raleigh police arrested Medlin just days after police said he committed the crime, and he will be brought back to Charlotte to answer to his charges.
He's charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Police told Channel 9 they found Reid lying in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, where he died.
Officers in Raleigh arrested Medlin during a traffic stop Wednesday night.
Channel 9 is asking police about possible motives for the shooting and when Medlin will be brought back to Mecklenburg County.
