CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking for the person who fired shots in the air outside a south Charlotte strip club then led police on a brief chase early Tuesday morning.
Channel 9 was at the scene outside the Gentleman's Club on Woodlawn Road and could see evidence markers on the ground as investigators tried to piece together the incident.
According to police, a customer assaulted an employee around 2 a.m. and fired about 20 shots outside the club before pulling off.
Officers said they followed the suspect up Interstate 77, but he got away.
No one was hurt.
