CMPD identify men involved in fatal stabbing in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police were investigating a homicide early Friday morning after they said a man was stabbed to death in north Charlotte.

Officers responded to an assault call at Trojan Labor in the 4200 block of Statesville Road just after 6 a.m.

When they arrived they found a man who had been stabbed and paramedics rushed him to Carolinas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the man as Jason Deshaun Lee, 34.

Investigators told Channel 9 that there was an argument between the victim and suspect which led to the stabbing.

Detectives charged Paul D. Herman, 54, for his involvement. Herman was charged with second-degree murder.

Friday's incident was the second at this business in the past two weeks. Police were called out for another stabbing on June 29.
