CHARLOTTE — Charlotte Mecklenburg Police responded to a shooting in west Charlotte on Saturday to find one person with life-threatening injuries.
Paramedics and police responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon on the 2000 block of Vinton Street on Saturday around 1:30 p.m.
A 20-year-old woman was transported to Novant Health to be treated for a gunshot wound, according to a CMPD incident report. Officials say the suspect was not known to the victim.
No other details have been provided. The incident is still under investigation, according to officials.
