CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide in west Charlotte.
Officers were responding to a welfare check at a hotel on Queen City Drive at around 1:45 p.m. when they found an unresponsive person.

MEDIC confirmed the victim died at the scene. Officials have not said how the victim died.
No arrests have been made at this point.
