Man killed in east Charlotte shooting, police say

CHARLOTTE — Detectives are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting on Sunday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers were called around 7:30 p.m. to Snow Lane, which is off W.T. Harris Boulevard.

At the scene, police found 64-year-old Rickie Burris who has been shot. He died at the scene.

Authorities have not released the shooter’s identity or said what led up to the incident.

It is unknown if the shooter will face charges.
