Man shot to death inside crashed car on Independence Boulevard, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police found a man shot to death inside a crashed car early Saturday morning near uptown.

Officers found Everette Lynn, 43, around 3:40 a.m. on Independence Boulevard near Briar Creek.

Officers shut down the inbound lanes in the 2600 block of Independence Boulevard while they investigated.

Investigators did not say if there was anyone else inside the vehicle. They are trying to determine how and when the victim was shot.
