Channel 9 reporter Almiya White spoke with neighbors who said this recent shooting has them on edge.
“This is getting pretty bad over here. You know? I mean, I’ve been over here for a year now. And it’s never been anything like this,” resident Cecil Felton said.
This homicide comes less than 24 hours after another shooting that left three people hurt in Uptown near East 6th Street.
“I’m not used to that being this close to home,” Felton said. “You know me I’m not used to that and it’s given me cause for concern.”
Another resident told Channel 9 that she feels extra security is needed in the area.
“We don’t have security in our area,” resident Cecelia Hendking said. “We have asked for them to have security here.”
