CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a man and woman were found shot to death inside a northeast Charlotte home early Friday morning.

First responders were called around 3:45 a.m. to the scene on Dapple Grey Lane, off Back Creek Church Road, after a 911 caller told dispatchers that someone was shooting at other family members inside the house.
When police arrived they found a man and woman dead.
Investigators told Channel 9 the man shot and killed his wife and then tried to shoot at least one other family member before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities identified the dead as Suprena Hunter, 50, and Maurice Hunter, 51.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said nobody else inside the home was hurt.
Suprena Hunter's death would be Charlotte's 86th homicide of 2017.
