CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police were investigating a drive-by shooting early Friday morning at a motel in northeast Charlotte.
Officers were called around 4 a.m. to the scene at the Economy Inn on Reagan Drive, not far from Interstate 85, and found a man who had been shot.
The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.
Officers told Channel 9 the victim was hit by gunfire after a vehicle pulled up and someone inside began shooting.
Reagan Drive was closed in both directions while officers investigated.
No arrests have been made and police have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
