CMPD investigates after armed robbery at convenience store

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for someone accused of an armed robbery at a north Charlotte convenience store.

Someone pulled out a weapon just before 5 a.m. Monday at the Circle K in the 7000 block of North Tryon Street, police said. The robber stole from the store and ran away, according to police.

No one was injured.

Earlier Monday morning, another person robbed a Marathon gas station employee at gunpoint, police said.

The robbery happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Wilkinson Boulevard.

Police said the robber showed a gun and took off with cash. No one was hurt.
