CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is expected to recover after he was shot near the transit center in uptown Charlotte Saturday morning.
Police responded just after 2:30 a.m. to East Third Street.
Tony Davis, 32, was not seriously injured with a gunshot wound to his back, but he was treated at the hospital. Once he was released, Davis was charged with possession of cocaine.
Police said the shooting, which took place at a parking lot near the intersection of Fourth and Brevard streets, was drug-related.
Investigators are working to determine the chain of events that led to the shooting.
