The next day, police added three more charges of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police said they were searching for two men for the string of robberies where they mainly target fast food restaurants. Officers said the pair hit three fast food restaurants and an Advanced Auto Parts on Sunday.

"I'd say in the last two weeks we've had eight to 12 robberies and think they're responsible for a good deal of those," said Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Capt. Cecil Brisbon.

Police released surveillance pictures from a few of the robberies.
