Shortly after, police said they received another call regarding a second person with gunshot wounds as well on the 6700 block of North Tryon Street. That juvenile victim was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Just before 11:30 p.m., a third person also arrived at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
CMPD said they are working to determine if the three shootings are related.
“It’s a very complex scene. We are fortunate that there are cameras at so many businesses. DOT cameras were checking as well,” said Major Ryan Butler.
Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide unit detective.
