CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman was arrested after police said she shot a man in the leg outside of a home in University City.
Natasha Sterling is charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers were called around 6:30 a.m. to a home on Abercromby Street, near Interstate 485, by a resident who believed someone was trying to break into their home.
Investigators believe the 50-year-old man was knocking on several doors, at one point demanding to get inside, when a shot was fired.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they're searching for one more person in the case.
