CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in northwest Charlotte Thursday morning.
Around 5:40 a.m., police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon and injury call on Park Fairfax Drive near Freedom Drive.
At the scene, a man was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
CMPD later identified the victim as 24-year-old Kwandarrius De’Markeith Montaviu Howze.
